To all interested on the 21th International Symposium on Applications of Laser and Imaging Techniques to Fluid Mechanics
The Organizing Committee sincerely thanks everyone who participated in the 20th Lisbon Symposium.
Over 300 attendants from 24 countries gave their time and resources to attend and to contribute, and it was a great pleasure to see so many of you here.
Hopefully, the joy experienced in both the techno-scientific part and the social program was an timely opportunity to extend your existing networks and promote collaborative research. The proceedings were added to the Symposia webpage at https://www.lisbonsimposia.org
, where you also find direct links to an Archive containing previous symposia since 1982 and proceedings when the symposium went digital since 2000.
We address special thanks to all speakers and chairpersons of the conference, to Culturgest for hosting the event, and to effective teams who did outstanding work in organizing and supporting the event: Symposium Secretariat at Meeting Point, members of the Advisory Committee and students from Instituto Superior Técnico at IN+ and the University of Coimbra at ADAI.
Inside the oldest borders in Europe, in Lisbon you find a unique cultural heritage where tradition and modernity blend together in perfect harmony, superb cuisine, fine wines, hospitable people, and numerous leisure activities. Portugal attracts visitors worldwide and is an ideal destination for tourism, business, and conferences. It presents a wide variety of landscapes and monuments always close to Lisbon, whether north or south of the capital. Lisbon is a metropolitan city where we still can find a warm, welcoming feel in each historic neighbourhood, having won the European Green Capital award in 2020.
The world is still under numerous challenges and some of them depend on the groundbreaking work of our scientific community. Therefore, we look forward to seeing you at the 21st LISBON SYMPOSIUM on 8–11 July 2024, http://www.lisbon-lasersymposium.org/LXLASER2024
